1. Scope
This policy describes the ordering currently used for service Listings in Findit search and browse results. Other surfaces, such as provider, property, vehicle, event or Community results, may use their own clearly identified ordering or a user-selected sort.
2. Default organic ordering
The ordinary service-listing API defaults to newest first, using the Listing creation date. A text query or category choice filters which Listings are eligible but does not silently replace the default with an undisclosed relevance score.
3. User-selected sorting
Where the interface offers the choice, a user may sort eligible service Listings by price, creation date, Provider rating, view count or the stored popularity score. The selected label is shown in the interface. Provider-directory and specialist vertical pages may offer different named sort choices.
4. Filters and location
Query, category, city, price range, minimum rating, instant-booking availability, Listing type, condition, seller type, employment type and map-radius inputs may filter the eligible result set where supported. A radius filter includes Listings inside the chosen radius; it does not currently order them by nearest distance.
5. Popularity, views and ratings
View count, stored popularity score and Provider average rating affect order only when the user or the relevant product surface selects that named ordering. Review or verification status does not secretly increase the default newest-first position. A badge or prominent position is not a guarantee or endorsement.
6. Sponsored and featured placement
A Listing marked for paid or commercially influenced presentation is visibly labelled Sponsored, Featured, Promoted or Advertisement on its result card and detail view. The service-listing sponsored flag does not alter the ordinary organic queryset order. Any separate paid module must remain visually identified and must not be presented as organic.
7. Safety and eligibility
Inactive, unavailable, image-ineligible or policy-restricted Listings may be excluded from public results. Moderation and category-policy controls affect eligibility rather than secretly purchasing or selling a higher organic score.
8. No guaranteed position
Positions change as Listings are added or updated and as users change queries, filters or sort choices. Findit does not guarantee minimum traffic, leads, bookings, revenue or a permanent rank.
9. Separation of organic and paid placement
Advertising spend does not change a Listing's underlying rating, verification state, complaint outcome or moderation treatment. If a paid module is introduced into a results surface, its label must remain visible on the result and detail views.
10. Transparency and changes
Findit will update this page when a material ranking method becomes active. Questions or complaints about ranking may be submitted through the complaints channel.
